Sizing Guide
Start with the room before choosing the unit.
Air-conditioner capacity is shown in BTU/h and kW cooling capacity. The right starting point is the room and its heat load, not price or appearance alone.
Room details that affect sizing
- Room length and width
- Ceiling height
- Room type
- Sun exposure
- Window and glazing level
- Insulation quality
- Roof or top-floor exposure
- Number of regular occupants
How Click-Aircon uses those details
The Size Calculator uses the room information to produce an indicative calculated load and rounds up to the next supported standard capacity. It does not round down. Standard capacity steps include 9,000, 12,000, 18,000, 24,000, 30,000 and 36,000 BTU, subject to the products actually in stock.
When professional confirmation is better
Open-plan rooms, unusual layouts, commercial spaces and rooms with high heat loads should be assessed professionally before purchase. The online result is a guide, not a professional heat-load assessment.
